Volunteers from Companies 1, 2, 4, and 5 as well as Fire Admin were dispatched to an early afternoon fire in our 1st due district.  Chief 2 arrived on scene to find a 2 story structure with heavy smoke showing.  Firefighters made entry and discovered heavy smoke on the 1st and 2nd floors, with a small fire in the living room.  Firefighters made quick work of the fire and the situation was marked under control after just 4 minutes.  Units remained on scene for approximately 1 hour doing overhaul.  Company 1 responded Engine 1 and Tanker 1 with 9 volunteers.
